Covid-19 [ Corona Virus ] Cairo International Airport new measures August 2020
Obtaining Work Permit and Work Visa in Egypt through The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is being regulated by measures and procedures made by the Egyptian government and authorities. Prime Minister announced that anyone should be arriving to the Egyptian lands shall have a (PCR) negative proof for the Novel Coronavirus. So any expat shall be arriving in the Arab Republic to obtain a work permit and work visa, he/ she shall have this proof. In other words all incoming visitors/ residents to Egypt will be required to submit Covid-19 testing done 72 hours prior to his/her arrival. The new measure shall be in effect Aug 15th, 2020
The Resolution is as below,
Prime Minister Resolution,
Number 1568, for 2020.
It is prohibited for all those who are coming to the Arab Republic of Egypt, by land, sea or air to enter the Arab Republic of Egypt without having a certificate benefiting that he/she has made (PCR) test for The Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), which implies his/her negative result of Covid-19. This test is made by a maximum of 72 hours prior to arriving at the Egyptian lands.
The Arab and Foreign tourists; coming from direct airlines to Sharm El Sheikh Airport, Taba Airport, Hurghada Airport, Marsa Alam Airport, and Matruh Airport, are excluded from the provision of Article (1). All means of transportation are prohibited to transport those tourists, by land, sea or air, from South Sinai, Red Sea, Matrouh governorates to the rest of other Egyptian governorates, without having a certificate benefiting that he/she has made (PCR) test for The Novel Coronavirus COVID-19, which implies his/her negative result of Covid-19. This test is made by a maximum of 72 hours prior to the transporting.
That is all within the framework of the special controls to resume the inbound tourism governorate.
Penalties and measures set forth in all laws and regulations concerning this matter shall be applied to any company or facility that violates the precautionary controls referred to in the previous two articles, in addition to, the controls announced by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Those controls prepared by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Health and Population, The Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce and approved by Cabinet.
This resolution shall be published in the official gazette and shall be worked by, the following day from the date of publication until further notice. These procedures, stated in the resolution, are subjected to follow up to assess the situation.
